Resonate With Your Tribe resources, and scripts.
We're going after a concept called "Resonate with your Tribe" by leveraging the one thing you already have in common with your buyers, sellers, past clients and even prospects: your local community.
You guys are the digital mayors of your community. In this challenge, you will be encouraging people to shop local this holiday season and eliciting active participation through facebook, email and text.
BACKGROUND:
Humans belong to tribes. We identify with other groups of people that have a bonding commonality. For example, I live in Boston MA, work in SaaS, and have a hard time finding clothing that fits. When I meet people with any of those circumstances, we bond at some level. Your buyers and sellers are no different.
THE DAILY CHALLENGE:
As an ambassador of your community, choose 3-5 local businesses that you would like to highlight and support. Feel free to include a brief description of who they are, what they sell and how they can be supported, but you must include photos! Whether it’s a storefront or a photo of an item/meal that you love from there - anything! Pictures = higher engagement.
- Post on personal fb page
- ** If you are on a team - have the team lead post it on their personal page and have all of your agents share it on their personal pages to increase exposure. Also, share it from your Business Page as well!
- Email to database
- Who?! The audience you use is dependent on your database. You’ll want to be sending to people you know have lived or currently live in the community you are highlighting - especially if you just recently helped someone buy or sell in the area.
- Text leads
- Same rule for who to text applies as email
GOAL: Get as many comments, replies and suggestions as possible. If it starts a longer conversation - that’s even better

Hey Jimmy,
Did you see my post [LINKED] on Facebook, today?
I was wondering if you’d be open to jumping in and commenting with a local business that you love? I figured you’d have a great suggestion to add that will help support our local community!
Here’s are a few I’ve shared so far:
- Neatly Nested - PERFECT place to pick up a few housewarming gifts
- Portobellos - Family owned and absolutely delicious, comforting italian food
- Covet - An incredible consignment shop to get fashion forward pieces at an incredibly reasonable price!
What others would you add?

Version 2: Lengthier, Heartfelt, Emotional
Subject: Show Your Love with Local
The busiest shopping season of the year is here.
If you’re anything like me, at this time last year, you were throwing 100s of items in your Amazon cart and calling it a day.
Today, as I was brainstorming gift ideas for this holiday season, I realized something.
This pandemic has allowed us to spend more time with our families. With ourselves. In our homes and in our neighborhood. It has elicited a feeling of, “We’re all in this together” more than ever before.
Most importantly, I realized that our local businesses are the heartbeat of this community.
So, we have a choice this holiday season. If you choose to shop local, then our community can continue to thrive because of you.
